Emily-isms

before i begin, i suggest following this link and listening to this song either after you read this, before you read this or even while you read this. it's the kind of song that listening to just makes you smile, you can't help it. i'm writing this while listening to it on repeat. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0iQSoTEmgmo

so in the previous blog i promised a few things. one such thing was Jane Austen's Emma. i had to read it for summer. i understand that Jane Austen is a really respected world renowed author and what not, but honestly, the book made me want to rip my hair out. I haven't even finished it yet! usually it doesn't take me this long to read a book. only if it's a book that's like 1000 pages, will it take this long. i started it like a month ago and i'm only about half way through. don't get me wrong, some parts are good. but some parts, like i said, make me want to rip my hair out. but on to more different matters.

during the summer i also had to read a book for history class. i actually had to read 2. 1 such book was Thomas Friedman's The World Is Flat. now, let me get one thing straight, after i finished reading it i literally threw it out the front door of my house! i hated that book. Friedman just goes on and on and on about this stupid realization that he had that the world is flat. not to burst your bubble, but the world is round! it has been since the dawn of time and always will be. yes, maybe oportunities for less fortunate people have a increased a resonable amount in the last 10 or so years, but not as much as you think, Friedman. a 15 year old Chinese girl who works in a factory, is nearly illiterate and doesn't speak English is not going to come to America and take my job; me, a 15 year old girl who is extremely literate and speaks English as well as French. seriously, you moron; i know that you had a good idea but you took it too far.

okay, i'm done ranting about how annoying i find Thomas Friedman. now, on to the high school parking lot issue i mentioned. my high school just spent nearly a year and a half on parking lot renovations, but most of the lockers are as old as the school. that's pretty old (40 or so years). there a few newer lockers, but of course they're the smaller ones. the big lockers are all old and some don't even open. i've already had to get a new locker and i've only been back to school for 8 days. another thing about school that bothers me is people walking in the hall ways to their classes. either they go super slow or they just stop and talk to their friends. i'm like "you idiots! we only have 4-5 minutes to get to class. you can be late, but i would rather not have detention." they like, stand in big groups and you have to go around them. or they see their friends going the oposite way and have to stop and do some dumb hand shake with them. honestly, it's just so frustrating.

now that i've finished ranting, i would like to talk a little about my new story. it's the sequal to Innocent and if none of you knew, Innocent was the sequel to Guilty. obviously you have to read Guilty before Innocent. links are on the side, for any of you who need to catch up or just want to start reading them. if you didn't know, they're stories about Emmett and Rosalie. Emmett was an assasin and a protection agent. he was assigned to protect and kill Rosalie. read it and see what happens. anyways, i'm getting started on writing the third story to this three part series, some may call it a trilogy. but i'm trying to figure out wat i'm going to have the title be. i'll figure it out though and when i do i'll let you all know.

so my sister wants to go on the computer now. so i have to say farewell, but before i do let me just thank you all for reading. links to all my stories are on the right, just so you know. check back soon and you might even find a sneak peak of Alice And Jasper, which is the story i'm working on right now.
